Frequently Asked Questions
Do you provide commercial valuations of works of art or antiques for sale?
No. It is important to distinguish between a market valuation —establishing a price for sale— and a technical expert assessment, which analyses condition, causes and responsibilities.
Our consultancy specialises in the technical, legal and forensic aspects of cultural heritage. We prepare condition reports, technical authenticity assessments and expert reports concerning liability for damage, but we do not provide commercial valuations for sale, purchase or insurance purposes.
¿Cuánto tiempo tarda la redacción de una Memoria Histórica o un expediente?
Timescales depend on the complexity of the asset and the documentation available.
A preliminary report may be completed within a few days, while a full application for a licence within the setting of a Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC) or a grant application requires more detailed research and analysis.
When contacting us, please let us know if you are working to an administrative deadline, such as a formal request with a specified response period, so that we can take this into account when scheduling the work.
Do I need to make an appointment for an in-person meeting?
As a general rule, an in-person meeting is not necessary.
Our consultancy prioritises efficiency and straightforward communication through telephone, WhatsApp or video call. This enables us to streamline procedures and reduce unnecessary costs while maintaining close and responsive communication with our clients.
Of course, where the scale of the project or the sensitivity of the matter requires it, we can arrange an in-person meeting. However, remote management and communication are usually the most efficient and effective way to resolve queries and exchange documentation.
Do you work only in Granada or also in other provinces?
Our main area of practice is Granada and the surrounding province, including the Alpujarra, Costa Tropical, Metropolitan Area and Guadix, among others. This allows us to handle in-person procedures efficiently with the relevant Cultural Heritage authorities and archives.
However, for strategic heritage consultancy —such as Master Plans and museum interpretation or museological projects— and other desk-based assignments that do not require a continuous on-site presence, we work on projects throughout Andalusia and across Spain.
How are reports and supporting documents delivered?
All documentation is delivered digitally with a certified electronic signature.
This allows for immediate electronic submission to public authorities or courts, ensuring the legal validity of the documentation without delays or postal delivery.
Is there a fee for the initial enquiry or case assessment?
Requesting a quotation is free of charge.
However, if your enquiry requires prior technical analysis, an inspection visit to the property or professional advice on complex planning or heritage regulations, the corresponding professional fees for a Technical Consultancy service will apply.
You will always be informed of any fees clearly and transparently before any work is undertaken.
