Professional Profile
Art historian with a technical and administrative perspective
My professional profile is grounded in a strong academic background as an Art Historian at the University of Granada (UGR), complemented by specialist training in Architecture and Heritage, for which I received an Extraordinary Master's Degree Award, and direct professional experience in Public Administration.
Today, I lead this consultancy with the aim of integrating historical research into technical and administrative processes.
I provide the documentation and strategic guidance required for projects in Granada to comply with heritage regulations, combining sensitivity towards cultural significance with administrative effectiveness.

Technical Expertise and Heritage Management
Academic rigour applied to real-world projects.
Rigour and Efficiency
In a field where deadlines are critical and regulations are complex, improvisation can be costly. My working methodology is based on prior analysis and documentary precision, helping to prevent requests for corrections, additional documentation or administrative amendments.
Constructive Perspective
Thanks to my specialist training in Cultural Heritage, I am able to interpret architectural drawings and understand building pathologies. I integrate historical research into the practical realities of the technical project.

Administrative Assurance
My professional experience in the administrative sector gives me a solid understanding of the criteria applied by technical officers and heritage authorities when assessing applications.
My professional qualifications as a Judicial Expert Witness, Lecturer and Official Guide enable me to translate complex concepts into clear and accessible language.

Questions About My Professional Profile
Are you an architect or an art historian?
I hold a degree in Art History and a Master's degree in Architecture and Heritage. I do not sign architectural or construction projects, as that falls within the architect's professional remit, but I provide the specialist technical liaison and heritage expertise required. My training enables me to understand architectural drawings and building pathologies, allowing me to act as a bridge between architectural design and heritage regulations.
My background as an Art Historian, my Master's degree in Architecture and Heritage, and my experience in public administration allow me to contribute across the different stages of the heritage management process. Here I explain how these areas of expertise translate into practical solutions for my clients.
Cultural Heritage
Why should I hire an art historian before starting to design my renovation project?
Bringing an art historian into the project at an early stage can help prevent the architect from developing solutions that may later be rejected by the heritage authorities. This can save months of delays in obtaining licences and avoid unnecessary redesign costs.
Can an art historian coordinate a Master Plan in the province of Granada?
Yes. An art historian is particularly well suited to lead the research and diagnostic phase, coordinating other specialists to create a strategic roadmap for the conservation, management and funding of a monument or heritage asset.
